Simon Mall Visa Gift Card $500

Simon Mall $1,000 Visa gift card promo extended to August 31!

I just got word that Simon Mall is extending the $1,000 Visa gift card promotion through August 31! This is exciting news if you’ve been maxing out this promotion since it started two weeks ago. If you’re like me and mostly waiting until the weekend to bulk up on $25,000 purchases, it’s even better.

There has been confusion at some locations about who is allowed to buy these $1,000 Visa gift cards. A few readers who visited the Folsom Outlets reported that the staff told them the promotion was for “established gamers” only. I asked Simon Mall corporate about this and they verified that anyone can buy them. The staff at that location has been notified and you shouldn’t have problems going forward.

The only buying restriction is on purchases over $10,000 per day. You qualify for larger quantities if you’ve made at least five purchases before, though the rule may vary by location. These buyers also fill out a much shorter form, with sensitive information being stored on a computer rather than paper. Regardless, now that the promotion has been extended, everyone can breathe easy and buy in smaller quantities if necessary.

As I explained, this promotion isn’t the cheapest way to buy Visa gift cards, but it is the fastest. There’s no need to wait two weeks for your order to arrive and worry about having a big balance when your credit card statement closes. Liquidation is also faster, since you can buy $4,000 worth of money orders per transaction as opposed to $2,000. All you have to worry about is which credit card to use. I’m sticking to cash back for the most part.

Are you going to take advantage of Simon Mall’s $1,000 Visa gift card promo through August 31?

This is great news. I’m surprise my Simon rep hadn’t texted me yet. The only thing is I’m only allowed to do $24K at my location.

It is great news, however I am still liquidating the last batch of GCs. I am leaving for vacation and I don’t want to buy more and be stressed out with money seated in my wallet. I am now coming back strong!

I have issues loading up my bluebird with these. Anyone has the same problem?

My experience this week with Serve and Bluebird is that WM blocked loads above $300. I tried $1,000, $500 and $200 loads, being the latest the only one that went through. [YMMV] – Ariana have you had any issues?

Way easier. You can liqudiate $8k in four transactions instead of two.

I tried loading $1,000 and $500 both times didn’t work. How much did you try?

Glad to see. $25K every two days is a bit of a struggle to cash out/deposit. Another month will allow a bit of a breather. Hopefully they continue to sell $1Ks to gamers past Aug 31 and.we can go at a more leisurely pace.

My bad luck is that my go to WM stopped allowing me to liquidate MO. Don’t know what to do.

    What to do?

Go to grocery stores. Try other WMs. Sometimes you will have to go and ask for one MO of less than $999.12, because they will notice. In my area have 10 WMs and two allow Mos, however, one stopped last week, so I started going to grocery stores and also look up the Moneygram website store locator and start visiting one by one and see which one allow me to use GCs.

      Try a different store.

Today was only my second visit to a Simon Mall for gift card buying and they allowed me to buy $25,000. Do it is location dependent regarding 5 prior purchases before going to the majors.

Same for me. Saturday was only my 2nd time purchasing at a Simon Mall and the rep remembered me from 2 weeks ago. She disappeared for a few minutes and came back to tell me that she got me approved for $25,000 if I wanted it!

Are there any limits per month on money orders from Walmart? I know there is a daily limit of $8,000.
    Thanks for the help.

The maximum limit of $8,000 is with one transaction, in our case that we have $1,000 GCs, if you Walmart allows you to buy with GCs, is usually four swipes or $4,000 per day. I have tried going in the morning and then in the afternoon the same day and I haven’t been able to get MOs next day. I bought 73k this month and I am visiting my local Walmart every day without issues. Hope this helps.

The limit is $8000 in a 24 hr period. I just hit the “ over limit” mark yesterday. I had done 4K at one WM in the am and tried another one in the pm. Was rejected. Then I realized I had done 4K the previous day in the pm ( but within 24 hrs). A few hours later I was able again to do 4K in a single transaction.
But when I was rejected by the system I was able to convince the nice man to do 4 individual $999.12 transactions to bypass the system. Never hurts to ask!

No monthly limit as far as I know. Just $8k per day.

Thanks Ric. Any issue with deposits at bank?

I haven’t had issues, however they ask what I am doing. As Ariana said don’t deposit in a bank you have credit cards, (Chase), etc. I opened a WF account and set up a $300 DD per month and that’s all, if they shut me down it’s not a problem at all.
