Bilt is turning two in June, which means Rent Day is about to get more extravagant than usual. Last Rent Day, Bilt offered a 100% transfer bonus to Flying Blue, while in March, we all got free Hyatt Explorist status. For June 2023, Bilt is offering a host of prizes, ranging from 25 Bilt points to two free round-trip business class tickets. And yes, there are several opportunities to get your rent paid.
You don’t need a Bilt credit card to take part in the Rent Day Challenge. All you need is to be a member of Bilt Rewards (which anyone can join) and download the app.
Without further ado, here are all the freebies Bilt is offering on June 1:
Prizes for solving a word puzzle
The first piece of Bilt’s June Rent Day challenge is a word puzzle. By logging into the app on June 1 and solving the puzzle, you’ll receive one of the following prizes:
- 25 Bilt points.
- 50 Bilt points.
- 10,000 Bilt points
- 100,000 Bilt points.
- 5,000 Bilt points for The Collection.
- 25,000 Bilt points for The Collection.
- $100 Lyft ride credit via Lyft Pass (valid for a year).
- One month of free rent.
- Virgin Atlantic flight to London (enough Virgin Points for two round-trip Upper Class tickets to London).
- Emirates Flight to Dubai (enough Emirates miles for two round-trip business class tickets to Dubai).
Everyone who solves the puzzle wins a prize, so it’s worth a shot considering how little effort is required.
How to win Rent Day prizes with the word puzzle
To take advantage of Bilt’s June Rent Day promotion, follow the steps below. Be sure to update the Bilt app first, since the “Rent Day” tab won’t appear otherwise.
1. Log into the Bilt App on June 1 and click on the Rent Day tab.
2. Solve the word puzzle.
3. Select your “birthday present.”
4. Open the present to unlock your prize.
How to claim your Rent Day prize
All prizes will be awarded automatically. If you win The Collection or Bilt points, you’ll see them in your account within 24 hours. Lyft credits will be deposited within 48 hours. If you win free rent or flights, you’ll be contacted by a Bilt rep within 24 hours with information on next steps.
Those who win the Virgin or Emirates flights will receive points for two round-trip flights. You can use the points for two business class tickets, as suggested. Or you can redeem them for a completely different flight or vacation package.
Rent Day trivia
Aside from the puzzle, Bilt members can earn points on Rent Day by answering trivia questions in the Bilt app. Log into the app, head to the Point Quest section, and answer five trivia questions. You’ll earn up to 150 Bilt Points and unlock a bonus question worth 100 Bilt Points. In total, you can earn 250 Bilt Points.
Chances are, you’re already playing games on your phone to pass the time. With the word puzzle and Point Quest trivia, you’ll at least get rewarded for doing so.
Double points for Bilt credit cardholders on Rent Day
As usual, Bilt credit cardholders will earn double points on almost all credit card spending during Rent Day:
- Dining: 6 points per dollar (normally 3x points).
- Travel: 4 points per dollar (normally 2x points).
- All other spending (excluding rent): 2 points per dollar spent (normally 1x points).
It’s worth noting that Bilt credit cardholders will only earn points if they use their card at least five times per statement period. Rent Day provides a further incentive to reach that goal, with double rewards on nearly every dollar spent. You can swipe your card to pay for meals or buy a few of your favorite gift cards for later use.
You can earn additional points at restaurants by dining at a Bilt Dining restaurant (up to 11 points per dollar spent). For a list of participating restaurants, head to the “Dining” tab on the Bilt app.
