FoodJets: The fastest food delivery app I’ve ever used

Whether at home, work, or while traveling, I’ve used many many food delivery apps like FoodJets over the years. They’re incredibly convenient for those times when you just don’t feel like moving off the couch. When I’m traveling to a food-centric city, using food delivery apps like UberEats and Postmates (code NXNHB) is a great alternative to room service, which tends to suck.

The only down side to these apps? They sometimes take forever to deliver. Over the past year, I’ve used Postmates and Uber Eats a lot when I couldn’t get away from my desk at work – it often takes around 45 minutes for the food to arrive. A while back, I came across a super fast food delivery app that cut the wait time down in half: FootJets.

FoodJets Fast Delivery

I came across FoodJets a months ago while picking up lunch at a deli near the office. The place was four blocks away and I was in a hurry, so I just called ahead and drove to pick up my order. At the register, the cashier handed me a flyer for FoodJets, which came with a $5 off discount code.

I ended up using FoodJets for my next order and was stunned when my food arrived in under 20 minutes, as promised. That is by far the fastest delivery time of any app I’ve ever used.

It’s not the only time I’ve used FoodJets and they’ve delivered this quickly. I’ve since used the app to order from a few different local places and delivery has never taken longer than 30 minutes. That’s incredibly convenient if you’re like me and tend to order food when you’re hungry.

It’s nice to be able to get food delivered before you pass out. Another nice feature? FoodJets delivery drivers mark their cars with a blue object resembling an airplane rudder, so they’re easy to spot. Plus, you’ll get a text message just as the driver begins to pull up to the curb. Overall, their communication is exceptional.

FoodJets Delivery Fee

Fast delivery is great, but the best part about FoodJets? The delivery fee ranges from $2.99 – $3.99. That’s way less than what Postmates charges for deliveries. I’ve had several instances where Postmates overcharged me for items at certain restaurants.

When I complained, they initially denied that the charges were wrong, but when I sent them menu pictures, they finally credited back about $20 worth of charges. This isn’t my only issue with Postmates. While they charge a $5.99 delivery fee, they also impose an additional “service fee,” which I think is totally ridiculous.

FoodJets charges $2.99 – $3.99 fee on all deliveries and the order minimum is usually $10, which is totally feasible. I love that there are no nonsensical “service fees” or ridiculous wait times. I know what I’m paying in advance and there are no surprises.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I’m a huge fan of FoodJets and would highly recommend it to anyone over Uber Eats and Postmates. At least, to anyone who lives in their service area. They offer super fast delivery, a flat $3.99 delivery fee, and a huge list of diverse restaurants in my area.

Sometimes I get a craving for Boba but can’t justify a $5.99+ Postmates delivery fee (plus the “service fee”) that costs more than the $3.50 drink. A $3.99 fee is easier to digest. Especially if it means I don’t actually have to walk several blocks in a horrible neighborhood and my drink is instead delivered in 15 minutes. And that, as Martha Stewart would say, is a good thing.
