Points and miles beginner’s guide: Track points and miles

Points and Miles Beginner’s Guide

#3: Sign up for point-management accounts

AwardWallet lets you manage all of your accounts (including your household members’) under one login. Point balances are updated each time you log in, which is a great way to keep track of all of your points in one place.

Points.com on the other hand, allows you to track your American Airlines AAdvantage account. The down side with Points.com is that each person needs their own account, so you have to login separately to check each person’s point balance. The site also lets you trade point for other reward programs, which is a great way to get rid of points you don’t need, and bulk up on your preferred program. Click here to sign up.

Disclosure: I will earn a small referral for the Points.com link.

Awards Wallet is rubbish. The first FF program I tried to enter (UA) was not available.
Points.com-I spent 45 mins. Trying to get past the monkey numbers. No luck. Both pure crap.

Yeah it’s definitely not ideal but I prefer it to Points.com. You can ad UA, but you’ll have to update your balance manually.

I got the TripIt Pro from Barclaycard arrival sign up. Is award wallet any better? Thanks

I personally like Award Wallet better because they track AA miles automatically. With Tripit, you have to email them your balance, which isn’t as convenient.

Not a fan of Points.com. The exchange and redemption requirements for some are too high.
