Update: 1000 Club Carlson Gold points + FREE apps and zerts

Earlier this week I wrote about a Club Carlson promo, offering 1,000 free Gold Points, plus a free appetizer or dessert for joining TGI Friday’s rewards program. Some of you have pointed out that the sign-up page doesn’t mention any of this. I’ve reached out to Club Carlson customer service and received the following response:

Dear Ariana,

Thank you for taking the time to write. We appreciate your recent message.

We ask that you just follow the link and it will walk you through what needs to be inputted to receive this promotion. There will be * next to the sections that need to be filled out.

My response:

Thank you for your response. There is nothing on the sign-up page indicating that I’ll be earning bonus points. If the points aren’t granted, my concern is that I won’t be able to prove (with a screenshot) that I did in fact sign up via a special promo that entitles me bonus points.

If your email stated a 1000 points for signing up and you did the points should post to your Club Carlson account in 6-8 weeks.

Based on this exchange, we should take their word for it and expect the points to post. If you’re willing to take a gamble and hope Club Carlson will honor your points, go for it, though I don’t think I will.

In all fairness, I have personally experienced issues with points posting for a few promos that I apparently wasn’t signed up for, and Club Carlson has been great about crediting them anyways. You’ll be taking a gamble by signing up for this offer, but there is the possibility that Club Carlson will honor it.

These emails also makes me wonder whether this is a targeted offer.  I’ve emailed the rep back asking this question, but haven’t received a response yet. I don’t expect a response this weekend, but I’ll update this post if I do.
