The great thing about this Conrad Chicago 50% off promotion is that it applies to suites as well as standard rooms. I searched rates for April 4 – 6 and saw rates of $97 for (standard) Superior rooms, $137 for a Corner Suite and $172 for a 899 sqft Chicago Suite. Redeeming points at Hilton hotels doesn’t always make sense because of the high redemption rates, so 50% off at the Conrad Chicago is an amazing deal.
The best part of this 50% off promotion? This rate is refundable! The cancellation date for the 4/4 – 4/6 rate is listed as 11:50 PM local time on April 2, 2018. I wouldn’t go nuts with speculative bookings, but at least this provides flexibility for people who do have actual plans to travel to (or transit through) Chicago.
I stayed at the Conrad Chicago back in October and loved its location. It’s on a quiet street a block from the Magnificent Mile, giving you easy access to shopping and dining without being in the middle of it. The rooms are also really nice and spacious. Hilton Honors Diamond members get a daily $20 breakfast credit at Baptiste & Bottle. Gold elites get free buffet breakfast, which is a notch above most club lounge spreads.
The only negative thing about the Conrad Chicago was how the staff seemed really unsure of themselves. It was as if they’d never worked in the service industry before, let alone at a hotel. I still got the sense that they tried their best. And I’m sure now that it’s been over a year since they opened, they’re much more polished. Or maybe it’s worse and that’s why they’re having a 50% off sale. #kiddingnotkidding
Regardless, I think the Conrad Chicago is a great place to stay in Chicago and at 50% off you’re getting an awesome deal. If you get in on a $122 rate (of which I’m seeing way more dates open than the $97), you can earn a ton of bonus points thanks to bonus point promotions.
