American Express Gold Business 75,000 Offer
My targeted offers

Unless I’m getting a new credit card, I don’t enjoy getting mail. It’s mostly non-profit organizations trying to exchange a nickel for $20, coupons from department stores I don’t shop with, and bills. Every once in a while, though, there are good things in the mail. If you make it a point to speed walk past your mailbox every day, you may be missing out on these great offers:

1. Amex Business Gold Card 75,000 miles after $5,000 spent within 3 months. Considering the current official offer is 50,000 points after $5,000 spent within 3 months, this is a pretty good deal. I’ve decided I’m unloading my Amex Platinum card with it’s obscene annual fee once it’s up and maybe take a crack at this offer.

2. Marriott Premier Rewards 70,000 points after $2,000 spent within 3 months. The current public offer is 50,000 points after $1,000 spent within 3 months. I’m going to pass on this just because of Marriott’s insane redemption levels for it’s most desirable properties.

3. Barclays US Airways Card: 3 miles per $1 on travel. This card offers many perks but never quite makes the shortlist. The 3 miles per $1 spent on travel is capped at 5,000 bonus miles and applies to purchases with airlines, hotels, car rentals, trains, and cruises. Bonus points are awarded on travel purchases that post by May 31, 2014. There’s no need to register for this promotion, just use your card if you’ve been targeted.

4. $400 from Chase. Chase sends these offers out all the time and for the most part, I’ve been ignoring them. Now, they’re offering me $200 to open a checking account and another $200 for a savings account. I might finally give in or hold out until I get an offer like Mr. Pickles did.

With that, I’m off to a good weekend start. Have you received any good targeted offers recently? Be sure to share them in the comment section.

  1. If you cancel your Amex, do you have to wait a year to sign up & get the new bonus?

    • PointChaser

Amex cards can be churned every 12 months, though some folks report that you won’t get the bonus again unless you wait 2 years.

  2. I opened a Chase checking account and savings account for the bonuses last year! It only took 20 minutes to set up.
