My initial reaction to seeing this in my inbox was to hit delete, because 1.) There are better properties to stay in Vegas than Hilton and 2.) There are more valuable hotel points to collect than Hilton HHonors.
Then, I noticed “triple points” actually referred to “triple miles” and I realized maybe Hilton wants to get back into people’s good graces with this promotion. After all, if their points are considered worthless, maybe the miles will still appeal to members.
Through June 30, 2013 you can earn triple airline miles for stays at select Hilton Las Vegas hotels. Simply register for the offer, pick your double dip partner, and earn triple points on your next stay. The following airline program are partnering with Hilton in this promotion:
- AIR MILES
- Alaska Air
- American Airlines
- Delta Air Lines
- Frontier Airlines
- Hawaiian Airlines
- Jet Blue
- US Airways
- Virgin America
I don’t have plans to visit Vegas
ever again any time soon, but I can think of better properties to stay at than Hilton’s. However, if you’ll be staying at one of these hotels and are still loyal to Hilton, here’s how you can get in on the promotion:
1. Register for the promotion. This may be a targeted link, so if it doesn’t work for you, check your inbox for an email from Hilton.
2. Select one of the participating airlines as your preferred Double Dip Points & Miles partner in your Hilton HHonors account profile.
3. Select Points and Variable Miles or Points and Fixed Miles as your Double Dip Earning Style within your HHonors profile
4. Book and complete your stay at a participating Las Vegas Hilton HHonors hotel through June 30, 2013.
