Giveaway: Two $500 Club Carlson gift cards + Gold elite status

It’s no secret that I’m a huge Club Carlson fan. I banked over 500,000 Gold points during the big 2012 promotions and covered the best ways to redeem those points, which was recently updated. Not only is the program one of the most generous hotel rewards programs in terms of rewarding free nights, but the Club Carlson Visa is one of the best hotel credit cards out there to help you maximize your points further.

  1. For me it would be a tie between the Radisson Blu 1919 Hotel in Reykjavik, Iceland and the Radisson Blu St Martin Resort Marina & Spa. I have been obsessed with visiting Iceland for quite a while now, particularly to view the Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights. However, I also must try Iceland’s famous hot dogs as well as relax at the Blue Lagoon and take the Golden Circle tour… and gosh… there are so many things to do! I’ve also read on various websites about the lovely and culturally interesting welcome gift gold members have received at the hotel so with the acquired gold member status I would definitely take advantage of that. The Radisson Blu St. Martin Resort Marina & Spa also interests me both because of its beauty and because I would love to see how two different cultures co-exist on one small island. I also can’t imagine how amazing it is (in an awe-inspiring/fear factor way haha) to be at Maho Beach when the planes are landing. Fingers crossed! 🙂

  2. I dreamed Radisson Blu Hotel, Berlin. Hope I am lucky, though I never believed in lottery because the statistic possibility is too low.

  3. Would like the opportunity to use some USAir miles to book a trip to Sydney and stay at the Radisson Blu with my family!

  4. @jjaso: The best use of Club Carlson gift card would be to spend it at Plaza on The River, London ranked #19 by TripAdvisor #pointchasergiveaway

  5. I am planning on travelling to Cologne and Baden-Baden for the Christmas Markets in Germany this year so it would be wonderful to take advantage of the Radisson Blu options there.

  6. Boring maybe, but probably Chicago’s Radisson Blue since it’s relatively close. My runner up, if I can manage it as a trip, would be the Radisson Blu in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

  7. This would be a dream to win and stay at the Radisson Blu in Copenhagen, Denmark before our Northern European cruise next year.

  8. I would love to stay at any of the category 6 properties listed on your Best Club Carlson Hotel Redemptions list! However the resort in St. Martin sounds especially interesting to me.

  9. Radisson Blu Plaza Sydney — going to be in Sydney for my honeymoon. What better way to celebrate than at the Radisson Blu!

  10. I live in Phoenix, so when I go on vacation, its to somewhere cold. Because of that, I would lovelovelove to check out The Radisson Blu in Bergen, Norway!

  11. I would be most excited to use my gift card to stare into the blue abyss fish tank located in the Radisson Blu Berlin.

  12. I remember being in old town Tallinn and looking out on the Radisson Blu Tallinn (though I’m not sure if it was a Blu at the time), thinking that would be an awesome hotel to stay at. That’s the choice for me!

  13. I would love to use it in London at one of the Park Plaza hotels, as they are among the few that can accommodate a family of 4 (in business rooms). Thanks!

  14. Radisson in Nashua, N.H. That looks like a castle, because my sister lives there and we would love to visit her for Christmas

  15. I’d like to check-out the Blu in Chicago. Beautiful building.

A pretty huge fan of the program too. Have Gold status, soon to qualify, but no Visa as I’m not from the US. As I’m traveling mostly in Europe – the 241 and 442 offers (for Gold elites) is very handy.

Would love to get Concierge status!

  16. The Radisson Blu Aqua Chicago (realistic choice) but so many others I’d love to try – Sydney, Istanbul, Milan, Copenhagen, Stockholm, etc, etc.

  17. I love Club Carlson loyalty program, absolutely best redemption options on their credit card with the second night free. I’d LOVE to use this for Radisson Martinique in Times Square, New York. That’d be so sweet !!!

  18. I would have to say Radisson Blu 1835 Hotel and Thalasso, Cannes that you have at the top of the article since we’ll be there in April

  19. Radisson Hotel Admiral Toronto-Harbourfront! We’re planning a trip to Toronto with good friends in 2014, and we’d love to surprise them by taking care of their rooms with these points.

  20. I love New York. My 91 year old mom still lives in Brooklyn. Forty years ago, driving a taxi cab there paid for my College Education. Thus I am a big fan of the Country Inn and Suites in Long Island City. Not luxurious but nice, reasonable priced on New York Standards, near 5 subway lines, 10 minutes from mid town New York, a great staff and a view of the Manhattan skyline. So $500 depending on the season, can get you a weeks lodging in New York, a ton of Club Carlson points, a great continental breakfast with “real” New York bagels and a chance to be a real New Yawker riding on the subway! What more can you ask for?

  21. It has been many years since I have been to St. Martin. Would be most excited to choose the Radisson Blu in St. Martin.

  22. Like many others I would love to stay at the May Fair in London. Perfect location, excellent value and free entertainment by groupies and paparazzi waiting in front of the door.

  23. Michael H.(oldfox)

I would stay at the Radisson in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. I stayed there in the spring and know it is a fantastic hotel!

  24. I would like to stay at the Radisson Blu Alcron Hotel, Prague and splurge on the upgrade to compare it to the Prague Hilton where I have stayed several times as a Diamond VIP. The Radisson Blu Alcron appears to be more centrally located for old Town, which would be a nice change. Thank you.
