  1. HR Warsaw is a nice hotel, but I’m not sure how the half mile to old town was measured – it’s a long way from the action, more like 3-4 miles.

    • @ Ray, it’s on the hotel website…maybe they’re being creative with their distance calculations to appeal to tourists.

    • @ SBG, that’s good to know. It’s currently a category 2, which is a great value.

  2. First off, thanks for this series of posts. I’ve been wishing someone would do this.

A few edits in the cancun section: “Location: This beachside hotel is located in the hotel [ZONE]. Also, Xel-Ha amd Xcaret are a *little* further than 3.5 miles from the Hyatt! 🙂

    • @ Jason, thanks for catching that! Both errors have been fixed. The hotel site lists the distance as 2.5 and 3.5 miles respectively, but you are right. Google maps shows it to be 5 and 7 miles.

      • Huh? Xcaret is 81km from Cancun, down in Playa Del Carmen. I guess it’s irrelevant since there is no more Hyatt Cancun, but 7 miles from Playa to Xcaret sounds right. Will be nice when the Zilara comes in.
